I went to Florida on Christmas day to visit family and all that jazz. And what does the sunshine state greet me with? Coldfreaknfreezing weather. There wasn’t a day that I didn’t wear my heavy coat. But luckily I baked some lovely lemon raspberry sandwich cookies that were intended to be eaten with some warm soymilk by the fire.
I was able to make it to Disneyworld’s Epcot Center, which was a blast.
I found great vegan dining in Morocco. Talk about kick ass falafels and hummus!
I strangely had better shopping experiences in Florida than I usually do here in SoCal.
I also discovered the most disgusting drink there. It really did tasted like rice water and carob powder. BLEH.
The beaches were nice, but as I said, too icy to step into the water.
But perfect weather to claim land.
I wished Elvis a happy 75th birthday
and found a shirt that agreed with me.
Winslow made friends with a dog named Zoë.
And I discovered my inner Mickey Mouse.
New Years day was a blast and I got to see a miniature version of myself on TV singing along with Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day on the Carson Daly Show. Very funny indeed. (you can barely see me at 2:43)
Rachel and I went to a taping of the Green Day concert back in November 2009. Loads of fun! And I came home with a black eye, but it was well worth it!

My departure back to the valley came too soon. So I left Florida with soy latte in hand,
headphones in ears, and Winslow being Winslow.
