So Twitter was down for an hour or so(noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!), which I was not upset about (waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!). Definitely not addicted.
Thought you’d like an update as to how I’m doing on my collab project. If you haven’t been following me on my twitter or twit*pic…then too bad for you then, huh? I’ve posted some pictures of the original piece on my twit*pic. I was handed down that huge sheet of of brown paper with all these drips and splatters and a whole bunch of circles. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE! Not that bad, just too much to work on. I used pastel sticks & pencils, charcoal, and acrylic paint (neon & metallic). I went inside the majority of those (damn) circles and filled them with things that go around in my head…don’t know where the concept of fetuses came from, but it all tied in somehow. The usual characters I draw made their starring appearance. Overall, I think it was a process of dealing with some major ADD…I think it was the circles that were driving me nuts. Although, I’m pretty happy with the results. I didn’t really paint over the drips, I just added more of my own. I liked the way it all looked grungy and spontaneous. All it needed was some bright colors and something that sparkles (I mean, my piece without anything that glitters? Puh-leaze!). I’ll try to post some more things tomorrow (when the 5 of us get together) on the collab projects.

If you don’t have anything to do(or if you do, try to make some time to sit down), check out these movies. THEY. ARE. AWESOME! Especially Humans! Fantastic. My photoshop professor worked on their website (ends up he was a vegan for 5 years. He’s a veggie now. Who knew? I’ve been meeting more and more has been vegans everyday. GO BACK TO WHAT YOU WERE PEOPLE!).

If you have not seen this movie…I urge you to. My cousin’s friend, Babak Cyrus Razi, is one of the executive producers of it and gave me the Special Extended DVD Edition. It is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. My cousin says that they’re in the works of creating a sequel. Please go to the Earthlings website and check out what they have to say.
Can you believe it? It’s almost here! Yes, I’m proud to say, I am a nerd.
